"Cloud Computing: Hvor kommer det fra – og hvor er det på vei?"

I foredraget vil Sannes se cloud computing i sammenheng med teknologisk utvikling. Hvordan forklarer det at vi har fått skybaserte løsninger nå? Hvorfor skjer ting i den rekkefølge det gjør? Og hvordan gir det grunnlag for informerte gjetninger om hva som vil komme? Samtidig er det et paradoks at vi har tilgang til svært avansert teknologi, men det er fortsatt en rekke enkle problemer vi ikke har klart å løse. En av utfordringene er konkurrerende forretningsmodeller og risikoaversjon som fører til suboptimale løsninger for brukerne.

Om foredragsholder:
Ragnvald Sannes er er førstelektor i IT-ledelse ved BI og har lang erfaring som foreleser og diskusjonsleder innen teknologi og innovasjon. Han er Ekonomie licentiat fra Handelshøgskolan i Stockholm, vært tilknyttet forskningsstiftelsen IMIT og har veiledet mer enn 150 innovasjonsprosjekter. Sannes jobber nå med hvordan digitalisering påvirker virksomheter og bransjer, samt hva som kjennetegner digitale toppledere.

About the speaker:
Darren Mowry is the Head of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Nordics and Baltics.  He is responsible for business development, marketing, channel, and customer service activities for the region while is also tasked with matching the company’s vision to the needs of Nordic customers and partners.  Mowry comes to Sweden from AWS in the US where he led the company’s commercial sales organization for North America for the past three years.  Prior to AWS, he held leadership roles at Microsoft Corporation as well as held technology and management consulting roles at Microsoft partners as well as Accenture.

Telenor Digital builds and operates software services and infrastructure in a global market, from high-tech Norway and urban Bangkok to rural Pakistan. The presentation will explain how we are using cloud computing to build, scale and continuously improve our products and services, and how it helps us maintain and increase the agility of a small software team inside the Telenor enterprise.

About the Speaker  Volker Hilsheimer is VP of Engineering in Telenor Digital’s Global Scale team, and responsible for engineering productivity. He believes in software engineering as a discipline in which creativity, culture and craftsmanship need to be combined to deliver outstanding products to customers. Volker has a software engineering background from Trolltech, Nokia and CFEngine. 

"Transforming your IT with AWS"

Many organisations small and large are looking for AWS to reduce costs, improve responsiveness to business needs and achieve reliability. This presentation explores how Nordcloud’s customers achieved DevOps using AWS while maintaining control of security, systems management and hybrid deployments. Presentation also covers technical and organisational best practises for AWS journey and proposes battle proven way to get there for large organisations.

Ilja Summala is the Group CTO at Nordcloud, where he helps customers leverage cloud and DevOps. With a background spanning the breadth of infrastructure architecture, including designing private cloud infrastructure and automated systems management at Nokia, Compaq and HP. 

"Moving SPiD to the cloud"

Mikael will explain Schibsted's experience moving their single sign-on and payment solution into Amazon Web Services and how they use it to improve their service.

He will also give a brief overview of what they currently have running in the Cloud.

About the speaker:
Mikael Lindström is the Head of Operations for Schibsted’s Identity/Payment solution called SPiD. He lead the project of moving the platform to Amazon Web Services and is currently working on improving and automating this service.

Mikael has a broad background in development and have worked with both backend and frontend development as well as mobile development and is currently working with infrastructure.

Wessel vil presentere hvordan BOB har tatt i bruk skytjenester og hvilke gevinster det har gitt så langt. Han vil også snakke litt om deres erfaringer og tanker de har gjort seg underveis, samt fortelle om hvilke ambisjoner de har videre. 

About the speaker:
Roger Wessel has 20 years of experience as a manager, project manager, salesperson and technician in various positions in the telecommunications, broadband and IT industry. Since 2012 he has worked as an IT-manager in BOB BBL (Bergen), and then started the process of migrating BOB's IT-systems to the cloud. Roger also have great interest in the border areas between technology, people and business - adoption / acceptance and use of technology.
